In short, a Virtual Assistant is an individual who provides support to anyone from an on or offsite location depending on the services. A virtual assistant is an independently contracted business owner, not an employee. We work out of our own offices and provide professional administrative or creative (social) assistance to clients - usually other independent entrepreneurs and small businesses. The common modes of communication and data delivery are the Internet, e-mail, phone, online work spaces, and fax machine. Work is handled on a contractual basis. We are also very cost effective because you only pay us when we work. Since we are independent contractors, we are tax deductible.
